Shortlist

Second Nature | Ready-made objection role-plays for an LMS | It has ready-made and build-your-own practice, plus SCORM or LTI. |
Why listen to us?
Oleg Bolotnov is PitchMonster's founder and CEO. He has worked in sales for 9 years across lead generation, phone sales, SaaS partnerships, channel sales and business development. Before PitchMonster launched in 2022, he built a sales LMS.
We build PitchMonster, an AI role-play platform, which holds a 4.9 out of 5 rating on G2 as of October 2026. Public case studies include PRN Health Services and Mentor Group. We rank ourselves first, so every competitor fact below comes from public sources checked in October 2026.
The 12 best objection handling training tools compared
G2 scores come from each product's G2 profile as of October 2026. Published prices come only from each vendor's own pricing page, checked October 2026; where a vendor lists none, the cell says 'Not published'. PitchMonster sells by quote.

How we evaluated
- Scenario source. We looked for a generic library or objections written for your deals.
- Buyer behavior. We checked whether the AI buyer pushes back instead of reading lines.
- Price and competitor practice. We looked for price objections, competitive scenarios and battle cards.
- Scoring and coaching. We checked for per-objection scoring and a better answer after a miss.
- Manager view. We looked for a way to see which rep struggles with which objection.
- Pricing model. We compared published plan details and quote-based offers.
We read each vendor's public pages in October 2026 and scored each criterion from 1 to 5 by one rule. Not stated on the pages we read scores 1. Partly stated, where the vendor names the topic but not how it works, scores 2. Stated scores 3. Each named mechanism adds 1, up to 2, such as objections you write yourself or scoring per criterion.
The scores measure what a vendor publishes, not how a product performs for your team, and a low score can mean a thin web page. Within each group, tools run from the highest to the lowest total out of 20, and ties are in no particular order.
Placement is not a recommendation for your team. The 3 guides we read, all published by Hyperbound, list 6 to 10 tools each as text, without a side-by-side table.

Hyperbound (15) | 4: multi-party scenarios with several buyer personas | 4: Objection Handling Pack on Free, Practice and Perform | 5: scorecards cover talk ratios, methodology and objection responses; AI coaching follows | 2: partly stated; analytics dashboard in Practice and Perform, real-call scoring in Perform |

Types of objection handling training tools
Objection handling training prepares reps to respond when buyers question price, timing, need or fit. It can take five forms: AI role-play, call review, enablement modules, LMS add-ons, and frameworks or courses. Each supports a different stage, such as learning a response or seeing how it lands on a real call.
- AI role-play practice. Reps rehearse objections with an AI buyer. Examples include PitchMonster, Hyperbound, Second Nature and Attensi RealTalk.
- Conversation intelligence. Teams review recorded calls after they happen. Examples include Gong, Chorus by ZoomInfo and Clari Copilot; Gong also adds AI role-play through Gong Enable.
- Enablement suites with role-play. Mindtickle, SalesHood, Highspot by Seismic and Brainshark combine practice with broader enablement programs.
- An LMS with a paid add-on. Docebo sells a role-play add-on for its learning system.
- Frameworks and courses. RAIN Group, Sandler, Richardson Sales Performance and the LAER framework teach methods rather than serving only as software.
PitchMonster belongs in AI practice: practice built from your own deals, scored per criterion, with an AI Coach that asks before it tells. The 12 tools below sit in 3 groups, and frameworks and courses get their own section after them.
Group 1: AI role-play and practice tools
These tools put a rep in a practice conversation with a simulated buyer. They differ in how objections enter the scenario, how the buyer reacts and what feedback follows. Tools to practice sales objection handling should let you rehearse the situations your team loses. For a wider field, see AI sales role-play tools compared.
1. PitchMonster: AI role-play with scenario-specific objections and scored coaching

PitchMonster lets teams write objections into each scenario, set buyer difficulty and score attempts per criterion. It holds a 4.9 out of 5 rating on G2 as of October 2026.
How PitchMonster puts objections into a scenario
The Scenario tab holds context, conversation starters and specific objections. An AI Instruction Box lets an admin add directions such as making a persona more skeptical or adding an objection. So you choose which concern the buyer raises and what the rep must address.
You can start from a website link, upload product or enablement files, or build from a CSV. Replicate rebuilds a buyer from an uploaded call or transcript, including the buyer's title, context, pains and objections. Connectors can pull a buyer and scenario from Salesforce or Gong, pointed at a call or opportunity. Those routes let you turn lost-deal objections and battle cards into practice.
PitchMonster difficulty levels
Each persona can be set to Easy, Medium, Hard or Insane. Reps can practice face to face with an avatar, in simulated phone mode, or in a screen-share presentation. Solo Practice supports rehearsal without a simulated buyer. Voice and accent options include choices for the United States, United Kingdom and Australia.
PitchMonster scoring and the worked example
A recording review shows a score out of 100, goal status and Topics covered. Scorecard groups receive star ratings out of 5, and each criterion is marked TRUE or FALSE. When a rep misses a criterion, written coaching explains the gap and an Example line gives a suggested sentence.
PitchMonster scorecards and pass thresholds

Scorecards can follow your sales methodology. Templates include Challenger, SPICED and MEDDIC / MEDDPICC, and admins can create custom scorecards. Goals can use a 60%, 70%, 80%, 90% or custom score threshold. A role-play can also have a knowledge base, so feedback can draw on uploaded material.
PitchMonster AI Coach
After a session, the AI Coach gives the rep a short coaching conversation before it reveals the score. It asks reflective questions so the rep can consider what happened before seeing a verdict. The AI Coach is available 24/7 and stays on the review screen as a tab.
What managers see in PitchMonster
Each role-play has a Performance tab with total recordings, average score, recordings above an 80% score, and users above that threshold. A scorecard breakdown rates each group out of 5 and bands results Low, Mid or High. Managers can see which part of the conversation needs more practice when the scorecard has a group for it.
The view also charts improvement across attempts against a target line. Workspace analytics show recordings, practice minutes and per-user scores. Company groups control who can see whose results, and admins can switch off the leaderboard.
PitchMonster Live Call Analysis
Upload a real call recording and PitchMonster analyzes it and scores it against a scorecard you choose, the same scorecards that role-plays use. The call list shows the scorecard applied, the goal status and the score. Uploads accept formats including MP3, MP4, WAV and M4A. A team can compare how a rep scores in practice and on a real call against the same criteria.
PitchMonster for enterprise rollout
PitchMonster supports SAML SSO for enterprise login. Webhooks, delivered through Svix, send an event to a URL you set when a role-play recording is completed and feedback is ready. That is the route for moving scores into a CRM, BI tool or LMS. The documented route to an LMS is the webhook, not SCORM packages.
Company groups control which results each user sees. Admins invite users by pasted emails or CSV and assign a group and role-plays to each person in the same table.
PitchMonster pricing
PitchMonster is priced by quote, with onboarding and support included. Trials are sales-led.
Where PitchMonster falls short
PitchMonster is a practice, scoring and coaching tool, not a content library or LMS. Teams that need course hosting should pair it with their learning platform, and webhooks can send scores to that platform. Buyer behavior is set with four difficulty levels and written instructions, not fine-grained personality controls.
The manager breakdown shows a weak objection only when the scorecard has a group for it. Live Call Analysis works from uploaded recordings. Trials are sales-led, so there is no self-serve free plan.
Who PitchMonster is best for
PitchMonster fits mid-market and enterprise revenue, enablement and learning teams that want objections built from their own deals, scored per criterion, with a better answer after a miss. Customer-facing teams in customer success, hiring and partner training can use the same practice flow. Read more about PitchMonster objection handling training.
Recruiters who finished a PitchMonster-based training program at PRN Health Services scored 22.37% higher on actual calls than recruiters who had not, over a 60-day window. Mentor Group reported a 2X reduction in coaching time per rep.

- Teams can set role-play scenarios around a persona, product or deal.
- Manager insight accompanies feedback on practice.
- Role-play sits within a revenue execution platform.
Highspot by Seismic cons
- Its pages describe scoring rubrics and feedback but do not explain how scoring works.
- No public price or free trial is listed.
- Role-play sits in the broader suite, and Train and practice is the middle package.
Highspot by Seismic pricing
Pricing is not published. Good, Better and Best packages are listed with contact sales, and Train and practice appears in the Better package.
Who Highspot by Seismic is best for
Highspot by Seismic fits teams that want practice inside a wider enablement suite. Ask to see whether the scenario and manager feedback cover the exact objections in your sales process.
Frameworks and courses for overcoming objections: method sources, not software
Overcoming objections sales training can teach a response method without giving reps a place to rehearse it. These 4 sources teach a method, so pair them with practice.
RAIN Group
RAIN Group is a sales training firm with programs such as Consultative Selling, Insight Selling and Sales Negotiation. It also sells Conversation AI role-play with buyer personas modeled on a customer's prospects. Pricing is not published.
Sandler
Sandler teaches the Sandler methodology through a franchise network of 230+ locations in 30 countries, with materials in 20 languages. Pricing is not published.
Richardson Sales Performance
Richardson Sales Performance sells Consultative Selling and The Challenger Sale, plus the Accelerate Prism reinforcement platform with manager dashboards and AI-powered reinforcement. Pricing is not published.
The LAER framework
LAER means Listen, Acknowledge, Explore and Respond. Let the buyer finish, acknowledge the concern, ask questions to find its cause, then answer that cause directly. LAER is a framework, not software, so reps still need to rehearse it against a buyer who pushes back. See these role-play strategies for objection handling and our objection handling guide.

How to choose the right objection handling training tool
Choose a tool by the gap you need to close: no safe place to practice, no visibility into real calls, or no shared response structure. Practice tools build repetition, call review finds the moments worth rehearsing, and frameworks teach a method. Start with the gap before comparing feature lists.
- If you want to test without a contract, Hyperbound lists a Free plan, Second Nature has free role-plays on its site, and Attensi lists free RealTalk scenarios.
- If practice must load into an LMS, Second Nature lists SCORM or LTI and Attensi lists SCORM, xAPI and LTI. PitchMonster sends scores by webhook, not as SCORM packages. Docebo's paid add-on keeps practice inside Docebo.
- If you do not know which objections cost deals, start with call review in Gong, Chorus by ZoomInfo or Clari Copilot, then practice what you find. Gong's AI Trainer can also build practice from past calls.
- If you already run an enablement suite, test Mindtickle, SalesHood, Highspot by Seismic or Brainshark on one price objection before buying another tool.
- If you need scenarios from lost deals and battle cards, shortlist PitchMonster for per-criterion scoring and a worked example; Gong's AI Trainer also builds scenarios from past calls.
- If team size shapes the choice, teams that only want to try practice can start with free plans and prebuilt packs. Mid-market and enterprise teams should check reporting, SSO and LMS delivery; PitchMonster lists SAML SSO and webhook delivery of scores, and Hyperbound lists multi-party scenarios.
Learning teams can set a pass threshold in PitchMonster (60%, 70%, 80%, 90% or custom) and see the share of recordings and users above 80%. For a game-style approach to the same practice, see gamified role-play for objection handling.
Use the same objection, buyer behavior and rubric in every evaluation. Then compare what reps learn and what managers can see.
The 5 types of sales objections and one practice scenario for each
Sales objections fall into five groups: price, timing, authority, need and competitor. A useful practice scenario gives the buyer one clear concern and gives the rep a measurable task, and the score shows whether the rep understood the concern before answering.
Price
The buyer says the cost is too high. Score whether the rep asks what the number is compared with, ties value to the buyer's goals and avoids an instant discount. Tools to practice handling price objections need scoring that checks the reframe.
Timing
The buyer says not now. Score whether the rep finds the reason for delay, names the cost of waiting and agrees a dated next step.
Authority
The contact says someone else decides. Score whether the rep asks about the decision process, helps build the case and earns a meeting with the signer.
Need
The buyer says the current approach works. The score should reward surfacing a cost the buyer has not counted, not a repeat of the feature list.
Competitor
The buyer names a rival. Look for an acknowledgment of the rival, a question about what the buyer values and a fit contrast that does not attack the competitor.
In PitchMonster, enter each as a specific objection in the Scenario tab. For confidence, read building confidence on objections.
Which tools show managers which objection is weak?
Managers see an objection gap when a tool ties practice scores to a skill or scorecard group. PitchMonster breaks results down by scorecard section when the objection has its own group, and it scores uploaded real calls on the same scorecards.
Hyperbound lists reporting and analytics in Practice and Perform, and real-call scoring in Perform. Mindtickle describes Readiness Index dashboards, and Brainshark has manager scorecards. Gong says managers can use the same scorecards in AI Trainer simulations and on live calls.
Objection handling training for UK teams
UK searches outnumber US searches for the phrase objection handling training, and some UK searchers write "practise" as the verb. This guide uses US spelling. Practice scenarios can include procurement requiring a security review and signed data processing agreement, or a budget freeze until the next financial year.
PitchMonster voice options include UK English, including a UK mid-aged voice, and the product supports 29 languages. It also displays AI disclosure notices before recordings, has EU data residency, and lets admins switch off the leaderboard for GDPR or company policy.

Frequently asked questions
What is objection handling training?
Objection handling training teaches sales reps to understand and respond to buyer concerns. Teams can use role-play to practice, call review to inspect real conversations, and courses or frameworks to give reps a shared method. Connecting those parts keeps practice tied to what buyers say.
What are the 5 steps of objection handling?
Five useful steps are listen fully, acknowledge the concern, ask a clarifying question, respond with relevant proof, and confirm the concern is resolved before agreeing on a next step. That sequence keeps a rep from jumping straight to a pitch. Teams can turn each step into a scorecard criterion for practice.
What is an effective way of handling an objection?
An effective response starts by asking what sits behind the objection before answering it. Rehearse the answer out loud against a buyer who pushes back, then use a structure such as LAER to stay on track. Score the attempt against a clear criterion and practice again when the answer misses.
What are 7 common sales objections and how can I overcome them?
Common objections include price, timing, authority, need, competitor, trust or risk, and requests to send information. The shared first move is to ask what sits behind the concern before offering an answer. Practice each type with a different buyer response, then score whether the rep uncovered the cause and agreed a useful next step.
What is the best tool to practice price objections?
The best price-objection tool lets you write your own buyer concern and scores how the rep reframes it. PitchMonster, Hyperbound and Second Nature have AI role-play; Hyperbound's Free plan includes an Objection Handling Pack. Choose the tool that tests your buyers' budget and comparison pushback. See objection handling practice for sales teams.
Can AI role-play replace a manager for objection coaching?
AI role-play cannot replace a manager's judgment. It can scale practice and score each attempt against the same criteria, while a manager sets the standard and judges real calls. Use practice for repetition, then have managers review difficult situations where context and deal judgment matter.
How do you measure objection handling?
Measure objection handling with pass rates per criterion, the share of reps above a threshold such as 80%, trends across attempts and scores on real calls. In a Mentor Group program for Syngenta, message-delivery accuracy rose 27% in 3 weeks by Syngenta's internal assessment, according to the Mentor Group case study. See objection handling metrics.
The bottom line
Choose by job: use AI role-play to rehearse, call review to find problems, and a course or framework to teach a method. For practice, shortlist PitchMonster, Hyperbound and Second Nature, then run the same price objection through each. Gong, which pairs call review with AI Trainer role-play, or Chorus by ZoomInfo can help identify which objections to practice from real calls.
